The Northeast Animal Shelter is located in Salem, MA. They are the largest adoption center on the North Shore. I support them as best as I can, by bringing them food and supplies (and the occasional contribution) that are given to me by my company after we photograph them. The Northeast Animal Shelter stands out because, unlike most shelters, they never destroy an animal, and guarantee that every one will find a home. Jane and I adopted our cats Danny and Gracie from them, and our friend Lynn got her cat, Zinfandel, there too (Millie was a stray). I'd like to encourage people in the North Shore area to visit them, and adopt a pet if you can. The Northeast Animal Shelter gets no government funding, just donations and adoption fees. If you want to visit them, or send a donation, they are at:
And their hours are 9AM to 9PM Monday-Saturday, and 9AM to 6PM Sunday
